With only 11 days until our next calgary date, 40 Guns are putting together some pretty rad new songs for your listening pleasure! Working titles for the two new tracks are "Forever" and "Otherside". Along with new songs, we are excited to announce that our travel plans are quickly becoming clear for our outing to Toronto for Canadian Music Week. The only really important piece of that puzzle that is missing right now is the date and location of our showcase. In classic 40 Gun Flagship form, we are all left anxiously awaiting this vitally important info!

Bobbie is busy working away at booking shows on our way out to Toronto, and I can honestly say i don't envy her for having to do that - what a grueling task! but she continues to plug away at it!

We picked up a second Calgary for February: Feb 18, Rusty Cage South with Stampede Queen, a band we shared a stage with at the Bourbon in Vancouver. Should be a good time indeed, especially because it's a thursday night!

That is all i have to report at the moment, however I can't help but mention that we have a major concert announcement coming in mid-February so get STOKED!

It's Jimmi again. Skinny and disorderly.
Let's let all you guys and gals out there know what 40 GUNS is up to... Amongst all of the biznass and writing awesome new songs we've found the time to book another EPIC show at a venue we haven't played before. Namely: THE LIBERTY LOUNGE. This one's the bar at Mount Royal so I expect to see lots of scholarly chicks and dudes getting their drink on. Come out on FEB 11TH for the next great night of your lives!
I think we'll make it an Anti-Valentines Day show due to it's proximity to said "Holiday" and the fact that "Valentines Day" is bullcrap. It sucks.

BUT 40 GUNS ROCKS!

We're in the process of finalizing 2 NEW SONGS for all you attractive youngsters to bang heads and knock boots to. So hold your breath. They're almost out of the oven... One likely sooner than the other. But that's how we bake. Rock doesn't rise at equal temperatures. But I assure you: They're all BLAZING HOT.

Hey Everyone!

First off, hope that your holiday has been spectacular so far! We have all taken some time off and really let lose. Relaxing and partying have been the story of the past few days - while they seem opposite, it's becoming necessary to party one day, then rest for two after. I think we may be getting a little old (or partying a little to much...).

This week we will be back in the rehearsal space working on new material and preparing for what promises to be a spectacular show on January 9, 2010 at the Marquee Room. We will be playng with DECOYDECOY and Obey the Fist.




Beyond this there is not a great deal to report because we have been on break!
Updates with crazy show news and such will be posted as they happen!

Hi Peeps!

Well... I've been told to BLOG and I'm not usually one to bring my "interesting life" to the forefront of human interest and technology but here it goes:

JIMMI'S FIRST BLOG!

Yeah! Oh my God. So for those of you who don't know me, I'm part of the best looking band of all time. Seriously, the people in the band are pretty. lol. I know you each have your favourite whether you've been friends with them since birth, come to a show and like their shakes, kissed them and partied the night away, or found them in a ditch nestled up next to a lonely hobo covered by the latest copy of Beat Route (which is awesome)... In any event, you all have a certain affinity for at least one of them. That's why you're reading this. But regardless of which colour of Power Ranger you most identify with or which rug at Ikea you think screams your name let's make one thing clear. 40 Guns is not the same without each other OR without each one of you reading this message.
We're having a great run of shows and jam sessions and we have all of you to thank for that. We're all super stoked on the new sounds coming out of this band (and Andy's new guit-box!). Everybody check out "Sweet Machine" and "Alarm Clocks" Seriuosly! Also, if you come to a show watch for "Looks Kill". I'm proud of that one. lol. Plenty of surprises coming up at the next show on Dec. 18th. I promise, if you come and smile at me, I'll smile twice as hard back. Pretty sure the rest of the band will follow suit. Thanks to all.
